The protection of your personal data is of utmost importance to Heliventure FTO NV / Helicopterflights Ltd. Please read this Privacy Statement carefully as it contains essential information about how your personal data is processed and which cookies are used. By providing your personal data on one of our websites and by providing personal data on these websites, you declare that you have read this Privacy Statement and also expressly agree to it, as well as to the processing itself.

This privacy statement applies to all our current and past customers, users of our services, participants in activities, persons who show or have shown interest in our activities, services or products, customers and prospects, suppliers.

Article 1 - Personal data

1.1. Personal data that you communicate to us:

Category 1: without registration: a large part of the information on the websites is available without the need to provide personal data.

Category 2: on our websites with online purchases, we ask you to provide personal information: name, address, email, telephone number and payment details.

Category 3: when subscribing to our newsletter or multiple newsletters: your e-mail address and possibly name

Category 4: your name, e-mail address, company name and address details for invoicing and shipment of products or delivery of services, as a result of placing an order in the webshop, registering for an info day or activity, registering for a training course, etc.

1.2. We only collect personal data that you provide to us in various ways (e.g. registration forms, entry and contact forms on our website, personal/telephone/e-mail contact, ...). We only use the collected data for the purposes for which we have obtained the data. In the case of external suppliers of mailing lists for promotional purposes, these suppliers guarantee us that the OPT-IN regulation as stipulated in the GDPR legislation has been complied with.

1.3. The Website uses cookies that collect a number of personal data. For the provisions regarding the use of cookies, see article 8.

Article 2 - Purposes of processing

2.1. General Purposes

Heliventure / helicopterflights.be will only use the personal data collected from you for the following purposes:

  • Category 1: the maintenance and improvement of our website and the inclusion of personal data in anonymous statistics, from which the identity of specific persons or companies cannot be traced, with as legal basis the legitimate interest of Heliventure / helicopterflights.be to continuously improve its websites and services.
  • Category 2: the management of your account on one of our websites with a view to the use of the information we offer on this website, based on the performance of a service that you have requested, and, if you have indicated this, also the sending of direct marketing, based on your explicit, prior consent in accordance with GDPR.
  • Category 3: the sending of direct marketing, newsletters, invitations, actions and promotions, with your explicit, prior consent in accordance with GDPR.
  • Category 4: the delivery and invoicing of products and/or services ordered by you, with as legal basis the provision of a service requested by you, on the basis of an agreement.
  • Category 5: The purposes of the cookies are described in article 8 of this privacy statement, with as legal basis your explicit, prior consent on the website itself.

2.2. Direct Marketing

The personal data may also be used for direct marketing purposes, provided you have given your additional explicit consent (OPT-IN). If you are already included in our mailing list to receive marketing material in paper and/or electronic form, Heliventure / helicopterflights.be may use your data to send you marketing and other material related to our products and/or services. You may revoke this consent at any time, without justification and free of charge, for example by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided, at the bottom of any promotional email, or by sending an email requesting it to info@helicopterflights.be.

2.3. Communication of personal data to third parties - processors

Heliventure / helicopterflights.be will not sell, rent, exchange, distribute or otherwise make your personal information commercially available to third parties. However, we may provide the information you provide to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the purposes described above.

For example, we make use of a third party (external service provider) for:

  • Storing and processing data in the Cloud (via a Cloud Service Provider)
  • Taking care of the internet environment (web hosting, mail hosting, ...)
  • Providing IT infrastructure (e.g. server, ...)
  • Taking care of the (financial) administration and invoicing
  • Providing (and distributing) newsletters and invitations (Mailchimp, YMLP)

There are the necessary agreements with external service providers (processors) to ensure the security of your personal data.

2.4. Legal requirements

On rare occasions, Heliventure / helicopterflights.be may be required to disclose your personal information pursuant to a court order or in order to comply with other mandatory laws or regulations.

Heliventure / helicopterflights.be will make reasonable efforts to inform you in advance, unless this is subject to legal restrictions.

2.5. Payment details

To pay for your online purchases, payment details are requested on our website. Heliventure / helicopterflights.be relies on a third party (Mollie) to process payments. This third party is responsible for the security and encryption of all your data. Heliventure / helicopterflights.be does not obtain any of your payment details, only the result of the transaction (payment successful or unsuccessful).

Article 3 - Duration of processing

The personal data will be stored and processed by us for a period of time which is necessary in function of the purposes of the processing and in function of the contractual relationship between the Heliventure / helicopterflights.be and yourself. For example, we do not retain your data for more than 2 years after you last requested our services or last use or termination of the cooperation, except for data in function of accounting (7 years).

Article 4 - Your rights

You have the right to inspect and copy the personal data relating to you.

You have the right to correct and supplement if your data is incorrect or incomplete.

You have the right to erase (delete) the personal data which we have received from you and which are no longer strictly necessary for the purposes for which they were processed. We do, however, reserve the right to determine whether your request is justified.

You have the right to limit data processing: if you object to the processing of certain data, you can ask to stop this processing. You can also object to the way in which certain of your personal data are processed. For example, you have the right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes (via unsubscribe possibilities in e-mails).

You also have the right to have the data provided by you transferred by us to yourself or by order of yourself directly to another party. Via the address at the top of this privacy statement you can contact us to exercise your rights, accompanied by a motivation for your question. 

We may ask you to identify yourself before we can respond to the above requests. To verify your identity, we ask you to add a copy of the front of your identity card to your request. We strongly advise you to make your passport photo invisible and to mention that it is a copy.

No category of persons shall be subject to any form of automated decision-making or profiling.

Article 5 - Security and confidentiality

5.1. We have developed security measures that are appropriate at technical and organizational level to avoid the destruction, loss, falsification, alteration, unauthorized access or erroneous notification to third parties of personal data collected as well as any other unauthorized processing of such data.

5.2. Under no circumstances can Heliventure / helicopterflights.be be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the incorrect or unlawful use of personal data by a third party.

5.3. You must comply with the security regulations at all times, including preventing any unauthorised access to your login and code. You are therefore solely responsible for the use that is made of your computer's website, IP address and your identification data, as well as for their confidentiality.

6.1. In order to process your personal data, we provide access to your personal data to our employees.

6.2. We guarantee a similar level of protection by making contractual obligations opposable to these employees and appointees, which are similar to this Privacy Statement.
